In this video a comparison test of muzzle velocity is done on 2 different 1875 made Martini henry guns. One is a MK II Martini Henry Infantry rifle from the IMA Nepal cache while the other is a surplus British MK II Martini Henry Artillery Carbine of Boer War vintage. For both weapons the ammunition used was Kynoch’s commercially sold .577-450 cordite load with a 480 grain paper patched bullet. This ammunition was loaded by Kynoch in 1949.
